upcycled book wreath

I have a collection of discarded books from working in library services. The pages are in great condition but the bindings ...not so much. Perfect for guilt-free crafting. (Yes, I was that girl that h-a-t-e-d writing in books or even folding a page over to mark my spot.)

Here are a couple pics of my latest creation. (The lighting leaves a bit to be desired.)

It took over 350 pages to make the wreath. The edges are painted in mulberry for a subtle contrast. It's approximately 18" in diameter and 6" deep. It's perfect to adorn a wall or a door that is sheltered from the weather.
